Unreal Engine 4 launched on Aurora OS

Unreal Engine 4 has been launched on the Russian Aurora OS — the OS developers reported this to Izvestia. Adapting the engine became the master’s thesis of MAI student Alexander Navrotsky — he managed to adapt the engine to the fifth version of the system using the Aurora SDK.

According to the developer, the current project is just a demonstration; in the future, the author will improve texture support, replace OpenGl with Vulkan, and also bring the port in line with Aurora’s security requirements.

Navrotsky is not going to stop at porting Unreal Engine 4 — after implementing this project, the developer wants to port the fifth version of the engine from Epic to the OS.
