Tom Henderson: PS5 Pro will come in 2024

Journalist Tom Henderson spoke again about the PS5 Pro, revealing a few insides about the console. This time he talked about technical characteristics and release date.

According to Henderson, the new version of the console with work title Trinity will receive more powerful hardware for stable performance at 4K resolution. However, the console will also receive a new mode: it will improve ray tracing, and the resolution will reach 8K.

PS5 Pro has been in development since early 2022, with the console scheduled for release in November 2024. Henderson said studios will start sending out devkits for the console as early as this November. Also, according to an insider, PS5 Pro is Sony’s last intermediate console before the release of a full-fledged new generation.
