The Next Mass Effect Is Still in Pre-Production

Michael Gamble, director of the next Mass Effect, shared the current status of the project on the X social network. In a response to one of the users, Gamble said that the game is still in pre-production.

Despite the fact that the game was announced back in 2020, the project was developed by a small team for a long time — only after the release of Dragon Age: Veilguard, the studio allocated additional resources to the game. How much longer the development of the project will last is still unknown.

After the release of Veilguard, BioWare underwent layoffs: according to Jason Schreier, less than a hundred people were currently working in the company. EA decided to send some developers to other projects.
