The developers of Life if Strange have announced a strike

Developers from Don’t Nod studio (Life is Strange, Vampyr) have announced a strike against their management. The strike will begin on November 8 at the company’s Paris office.

The reason for the strike is the restructuring of Don’t Nod, under which up to 70 employees may be laid off. Employees demand that management cancel planned layoffs and give developers a say in strategic decisions making. In addition, during negotiations, employees require the presence of Oscar Gilbert, the company’s CEO.

The open letter in which the developers announced the strike mentions the shortcomings of management in the studio. For example, employees believe that the Don’t Nod crisis was caused by short-sighted decisions by superiors and their inability to plan long-term.
