Rumor: Steam Deck 2 won’t be released before 2028

Insider Kepler_L2, known for his reliable forecasts, reported on the expected release window for Steam Deck 2: according to him, Valve will not rush with the console and will release the device no earlier than 2028.

Judging by the rumors, the next Steam Deck will also be based on a chip from AMD. Valve itself has already mentioned that it will release a new version of portable PC only when it can achieve a serious leap in performance and battery life. Despite this, the supposed Steam Deck 2 has already been found in benchmarks, but it could have been an early prototype for tests or a completely different product from the company.

The last version in the line is still the Steam Deck OLED.
