Rocksteady is working on an open-world action — perhaps it’s a new Batman game

The other day, Rocksteady posted a vacancy on its website for a game director with experience working on third-person open-world action games and melee combat. Jason Schreier mentioned that the company wants to make a new project in the Batman universe — they are probably looking for an employee for this title.

The job description itself does not mention the superhero, but the general description of the game systems, the emphasis on close combat and the extensive use of various tools hint at this franchise.

However, you definitely shouldn’t expect the title in the coming years: if the studio is only looking for a game director for the project, then the development has hardly entered the pre-production stage. Even specifics about the game will have to wait a couple of years at best.
