Nintendo Switch 2 is announced

Nintendo has officially unveiled Switch 2: the new console will be released in 2025, with the exact date to be announced later.

Like its predecessor, the console will be able to operate both in portable mode and connect to a TV using a dongle. The console will support almost the entire library of the first Nintendo Switch and will be compatible with its cartridges. In addition to improved performance, Switch 2 received larger joy-cons and a display.

Nintendo also announced that a Nintendo Direct show will be held on April 2, where they will tell more about the console, as well as demonstrate the launch lineup for the console.
