Now Microsoft has returned the price of the title to the modern standard of $70, and the company has advised those who have already pre-ordered the project to apply for a refund and re-purchase Outer Worlds 2.

Despite the decision not to raise prices, the tone of the message makes it clear that this is a temporary approach. Apparently, the prices of Microsoft games in 2026 will still rise to $80.
