Marathon is delayed

Bungie Studio is delaying Marathon indefinitely. Initially, the shooter was supposed to be released on September 23, 2025.

The developers want to make changes to the game based on feedback from the alpha testing. At the same time, the studio will continue to test the project to check what effect the changes have on the game.

The delay of the shooter’s release date was probably also influenced by the scandal with the theft of assets: in May, the artist Antireal discovered fragments of her works in Marathon, transferred to the game without any changes. The studio stated that a former employee of the studio was to blame for the situation, but many players did not believe the company, since the artist is followed by the art director of Marathon, and the situation with the use of other people’s works has already happened at Bungie.
