Krafton bought the Tango Gameworks studio — the team will develop a sequel to Hi-Fi RUSH

Publisher Krafton, known for The Callisto Protocol and PUBG, announced the acquisition of Tango Gameworks — the company previously belonged to Microsoft, which planned to close the studio.

In addition to the team itself, Krafton also acquired the rights to Hi-Fi RUSH: the publisher announced its intention to continue the franchise. In addition to developing Hi-Fi RUSH, the studio will also work on new original titles. However, you should not expect sequels to Ghostwire: Tokyo and The Evil Within from Tango Gameworks — the rights to these projects remained with Microsoft. In addition, all games already released by the studio will remain in the Xbox Game Pass subscription.

The amount of the studio’s buyout has not been disclosed. Krafton and Microsoft are currently completing the processes for the transfer of Tango Gameworks.
