GTA VI has been postponed to May 26, 2026

Rockstar Studios has announced the postponement of GTA VI: the action, scheduled for release before the end of this year, will now be released on May 26, 2026.

The developers expectedly decided to take more time to polish the project and thanked users for their support and anticipation. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick supported the studio’s decision, but the market reacted negatively to the postponement of GTA VI — the publisher’s shares instantly fell by 8 points.

GTA VI is being developed for Xbox Series and PS5. Some experts believe that the new title from Rockstar will be the first game to cost $100.
