Genshin Impact on PS4 cease to work on April 8, 2026

miHoYo studio announced that it will be winding down support for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact: the game will cease to work on the console on April 8, 2026.

The project will be closed gradually: on September 10, 2025, Genshin Impact will be removed from the PS Store (however, if the game was added to the account, it can be downloaded again); on February 25, 2026, all in-game purchases will become unavailable, and on April 8, 2026, the servers for the PS4 version will become unavailable.

Fans of the project criticized the studio for this decision, but apparently, miHoYo is not going to change its decision.
