Gameplay of Crysis Next, the cancelled battle royale from Crytek

A 13 minutes of gameplay from Crysis Next, a free-to-play battle royale set in the world of Crysis, has appeared on YouTube.

In Crysis Next, the developers have refined the series’ signature nanosuit mechanics, adapting it for massive multiplayer. However, Crytek ultimately decided to shut down the project in favor of a full-fledged fourth installment of the franchise, which the studio announced in 2022.

Since then, no details about Crysis 4 have emerged, but last year Crytek confirmed that the shooter’s development is ongoing.
