First trailer and details of Amnesia: The Bunker
The Frictional Games (Amnesia, SOMA) presented the next part of its horror franchise Amnesia: a new game subtitled The Bunker, and its action will unfold in a partially open world.
The plot of the horror is based on the French soldier Henri Clement, who ended up in a bunker during the First World War. It seems that in the new part – for the first time in history of the franchise– there will be a shooting mechanic: Clement is armed with a revolver. But for now it is not clear how useful the weapon will be: there is only one bullet in the revolver drum – this is obviously not enough to withstand the horrors of the bunker. However, as before you can hide or run away: the enemies will dynamically respond to the actions of the protagonist.
The partially open world in Amnesia: The Bunker serves two purposes. Firstly, players will be able to independently choose the sequence of exploring locations. Secondly, more free exploration of locations will make the puzzles more interesting and challenging.
The release of Amnesia: The Bunker is scheduled for the next year. The project will appear in versions for PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
