Blizzard is developing an open-world shooter

Blizzard is working on an open-world shooter based on one of its franchises. This became known thanks to a vacancy for a design director that the company posted online.

Blizzard was previously reported to be working on a shooter by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier: according to him, the company is working on a StarCraft shooter, and the project is being led by Dan Hay, a former producer of the Far Cry series.

It is still unknown what stage of development the project is at. It is clearly not worth counting on a definite release of the title: Blizzard freely cancels games at almost any stage of development.
