AMD announces FSR 4
AMD has announced the fourth version of FSR — unlike previous iterations of the upscaler, the technology will only be available on the company’s video cards.
It is reported that FSR 4 is based on AI algorithms, and its operation will require separate computing units (only RX 9070 and 9070 XT video cards will support the technology). The upscaler will be able to not only scale the resolution, but also reduce input lag and generate frames similar to DLSS Frame Generation.
All games with FSR 3.1 will be able to support FSR 4 — it is currently known that the technology will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
