Alan Wake 2 will support RTX Mega Geometry
NVIDIA has announced that RTX Mega Geometry technology will debut in Alan Wake 2, a horror from Remedy that will be released in 2023.
The technology optimizes ray tracing using a geometry update algorithm — RTX Mega Geometry is designed not only to speed up ray tracing, but also to reduce the load on the CPU, which will improve performance in games. In addition, the technology should reduce the size of the GPU memory used.
The release date of the patch for Alan Wake 2 with RTX Mega Geometry support has not yet been disclosed: the update will probably be timed to coincide with the launch of the RTX 5080 and 5090. It should be noted that the technology will also be available on previous generations of NVIDIA RTX graphics cards.
